So today is the day after the RNC finished up, and looking around the vine, the really sad thing about it is...........I could have told you yesterday or last week what was going to be said about the Romney speech and the convention as a whole.  That's how predictable this has all become.  Two sides, both dug in and ready to defend and attack the other without listening to what is said.

How did America become so divided?  How did we get where we are today?

There are a lot of outside forces at work in all of this, but again, the really sad part of the division is.......I believe it's by design.  I believe our politicians want the population divided into donkeys and elephants, fighting with each other over who said what and what they meant when they said it.  Why you may wonder?  It's simple...as long as we are busy fighting with each other, nobody pays attention to how our politicians are driving the country off of a cliff and stuffing as much as they can in their individual pockets.  They argue and fight with each other on camera and then pat each other on the back, laughing at us, the people, all the way to the bank!!

So when we dig in our heels and make the decision to defend everything one side does and call the other side liars and cheats, what does it accomplish?  Who does it serve? Who benefits from it?

I have spent my adult life, deciding between the lessor of two evils come election time.  Just once, I'd love to see a politician come forward with a plan of what they want to do and why I should vote for them.......instead of spending all their time and energy trying to convince me that the other guy is bad and I am not as bad as him. 

And today's media could not possibly be more transparent about the fact they have chosen a side and are willing to do whatever it takes to support it, including joining in the attack.  So we can't even depend of our news media to inform us of facts any longer.

How did America get here?  What's it going to take to honestly change things? 

No matter who wins this election, they will be demonized by the other side and have everything they want to do obstructed.  So what's the point?  What's it really matter?  There is only one thing that Democrats and Republicans will ever work together on and that's making sure a third voice can't be heard, to protect their stranglehold on political power. 

Are there really people who believe that Democrats or Republicans actually care about them?  Seriously?  If so....WAKE UP!!  The only thing either of these two parties concern themselves with is more power for their particular side!! 

So for a change, let's stop all the name calling and demonizing of each other.  Respect the fact that someone else can have a different opinion or perspective than you, and know that it's that diversity and the freedom to express it that makes our country different than many others.  Because honestly, if you think that some how your hatred and anger, expressed on some internet website, is going to make any difference........then you should go and check yourself into the nearest mental hospital and get the help you need....ASAP!
